Choir Walkers – Beachley

Sunday, 21st April 2024

A lovely walk on a pleasant Spring day, from the main car park in Chepstow, across the Wye Bridge, climbing up to Tutshill. Along the main road through Sedbury, and taking a detour to the start of the Offa’s Dyke trail start point. Back through Beachley to the jetting under the Severn Beach.

The return journey saw us checking out the cannon from Flat Holme, now on display outside the Army Camp, and the little churchyard that hosts many graves from German and Italian prisoners-of-war. Continuing on through Beachley, picking up the Offa’s Dyke trail along the clifftops of Sedbury before crossing the new road bridge back to Chepstow town.

The walk was ended by a lovely Sunday lunch at the George Hotel.

  2. Liz Maidment
  3. Micky Maidment
  4. Karl Gregory
